Book Fair 2008

Dear Parents, Students, and Teachers,

            Lower and Primary School are excited to announce that this year’s Book Fair will be held at Barnes & Noble Booksellers (4300 Montgomery Rd - Ellicott City, MD 21043).  The ‘kick-off’ date will be Thursday, November 20, 2008 beginning at 4:00 pm.  However, the Book Fair itself will continue through Sunday, November 23, 2008. Vouchers (see below) will be available for any items purchased from Thursday through Sunday to benefit our Book Fair.

            The activities will begin at 4:00 PM with Mr. Ventre reading a story, leading a song fest, and playing his guitar.  There will be GCS chorus performers as well as guest readers.  Mona Kerby, the author of Owney, the Mail Pouch Pooch, will be giving a presentation of her books, as well as signing books.

There will be gift wrapping available that evening, and all free-will donations for the gift wrapping will go to Hampden School in Baltimore (School #55).  A wish table will also be available for anyone who wishes to donate a book to the Hampden School Library.

            This is a great opportunity for early holiday shopping.  Hope to see you there.
